Dissemination of Project Activities and Presentation of the MareLaw Project at the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA), at Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique in Lisbon, and at the Maritime Education, Shipping and Innovation Summit 2024 in Lisbon (Portugal)

From November 11 to 13, 2024, members of the project team of the Erasmus+ KA2 (Cooperation Partnership in Higher Education) project “Upgrading and Harmonization of Maritime Law STCW-Based Curriculum for Maritime Students – MareLaw” visited Lisbon, Portugal, to disseminate project activities and present the project at relevant maritime institutions and at an international conference.

On November 11, 2024, the project team visited the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA), disseminating project activities and presenting the results that will contribute to enhancing the teaching process in maritime law courses at higher maritime education institutions, in line with the STCW Convention. On November 12, 2024, the project was presented at Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique, the only higher education maritime institution in Portugal that educates seafarers for management-level positions. Discussions with representatives of this higher maritime institution focused on potential collaborations and on ways the project results could be integrated into their institution’s teaching processes. Finally, on November 13, 2024, the team presented the project activities and results at the Maritime Education, Shipping and Innovation Summit 2024, organized by Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique.
