From November 27 to 29, 2024, members of the project team of the Erasmus+ KA2 (Cooperation Partnership in Higher Education) project “Upgrading and Harmonization of Maritime Law STCW-Based Curriculum for Maritime Students – MareLaw” visited Kotor, Montenegro, to disseminate the project’s activities at the 4th Kotor International Maritime Conference (KIMC 2024). The conference brought together scientists and researchers from various universities, as well as from the maritime industry, who exchanged experiences and research findings.
During the project presentation, the results achieved so far were highlighted, demonstrating how they will contribute to improving the teaching of maritime law in accordance with the STCW Convention at higher maritime education institutions. Particular emphasis was placed on teaching materials and self-assessment questions for students, developed under Work Package 4. In the discussion following the presentation, instructors from other higher maritime education institutions expressed interest in the project’s outputs and in the potential use of the teaching materials and self-assessment questions in their own teaching processes.
