The results of the Erasmus+ project “MareLaw” were presented in the premises of the RTU Scientific library on 27 February 2025. The representatives from different maritime organizations were invited to take part in the presentation.
MareLaw project is Erasmus+ project KA2 (Cooperation partnership in higher education), and its full title is Upgrading and harmonization of Maritime law STCW based curriculum for Maritime students. The representatives from University of Split (Croatia), Technical University of Catalunya (Spain) and Latvian Maritime Academy of Riga Technical University for two years worked together in the project. In the result of the project, among others, the teaching materials on the subjects included in the maritime law study course were prepared. Everyone can check own knowledge on the relevant maritime law topic by answering to the questions enclosed to each topic. As well, the guidelines for harmonization of Maritime law course curriculum were developed. The teaching materials and the guidelines are available free of charge at the website of the project to the students from the maritime education institutions, to the teachers, as well, to all concerned.
